When winter covers nature with a snow-white blanket, Surkhan State Reserve turns into a real fairy tale. This untouched corner of nature, located in the Sherabad district of the Surkhandarya region, captivates visitors with its breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife.

Established on September 8, 1986, the reserve is home to 194 species of animals, 25 of which are listed in Uzbekistan’s Red Book. Here, you can encounter rare markhors, Turkestan foxes, wild boars, wolves, griffon vulture, hares and many other inhabitants.
