From January to March 2025, the republican contest "Do you know the laws in the field of ecology?" will be organized. The qualifying round will take place from January 13 to 17, while the main sectoral stages will be held from January 20 to 31.

The competition is organized by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change in collaboration with the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.

Young people aged 14 to 17 residing in the Republic of Uzbekistan are eligible to participate. To do so, students must form a team of 8 members from their educational institution and submit an online application to their regional Department of Ecology.

The competition will consist of five stages:

-Selection stage (educational institution): January 13–17
-Sectoral stage: January 20–31
-District (city) stage: February 3–14
-Regional stage (Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, and Tashkent city): February 17–28
-Republican stage: March 10–19

Selection Criteria
1-"This Is Our Territory". Participants will explore and present the ecological conditions of their region, eco-culture, picnic culture, ongoing ecological improvement efforts, and the attitudes of young people toward ecology.

2-"Intellectual Ring". Teams will answer 10 questions on environmental, social, political, and legal topics within 3 minutes. Each question is worth 1 point, with partial answers receiving 0.5 points. Teams will have 2 minutes to prepare and 1 minute to respond to each question. (Scored on a 10-point scale.)

3-"We Are All Responsible for the Environment". Teams will prepare and present model scenes showcasing the essence of projects aimed at environmental protection, such as plogging initiatives, campaigns, startups, and activities promoting eco-culture among youth.

4-"The Best Environmental Project". Teams will propose and present innovative projects for advancing the field of ecology, increasing the number of young environmentalists, and attracting investments. Each team will have 10 minutes to present their projects in Uzbek, Russian, or English. Projects must address relevant issues, incorporate international experience, offer practical solutions, and aim to introduce improved environmental services.

If the total points among teams are tied, the first, second, and third places will be determined by a captain’s competition, where captains will answer 10  rapid-fire questions. Winners and participants will be awarded diplomas and valuable prizes.

Such contests serve to enhance the environmental legal culture and awareness of young people, ensure the rule of law, educate youth in the spirit of respect for the Constitution and other legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and foster a strong foundation in legal compliance.
