Herd of Severtsov’s Argali Captured on Video in the Jizzakh Region

A herd of Kyzylkum mountain argali was spotted on video during monitoring activities conducted by employees of the Nurata State Nature Reserve, operating under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change.
For reference: The Nurata State Nature Reserve was established on December 4, 1973, and is located in the central part of the Nuratau Range in the Jizzakh region. The reserve is home to 247 animal species, 31 of which are listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan.
The Kyzylkum argali, also known as Severtsov's argali, is classified as a vulnerable and declining species. It is listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List, and Appendix II of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). Since 1991, this species has been bred and conserved within the Nurata State Nature Reserve.
