For information: The National Nature Park was established in November 2020 on the territory of the Kungrad district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Its total area is 1,447,143 hectares. There are 149 species of animals in the park, 36 of which are listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan.
The Transcaspian Urials is listed in the IUCN Red List and the Red Book of Uzbekistan as endangered. It is widespread in the south of Ustyurt, mainly in the areas of Kazakhly–Kaplankyr, "Dry Lake", along the cliffs of the Sarykamysh depression, and in the eastern part of the southern chinks. The number of Ustyurt Urials is continuously decreasing. The species is part of a cross-border population with Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. Their total number in Uzbekistan is about 150.
