The Aral wetlands project has established cooperation with an international university

The main objective of the project is to improve the stability of ecosystems and livelihoods in the basins of the Lower Amu Darya and the Aral Sea by preventing soil degradation in combination with integrated management of land and water resources of productive landscapes around protected natural areas, key biodiversity areas, and key ornithological territories.
At the meeting, the staff and experts of the project informed about the results achieved, the importance of caring for natural resources, and the effective use of ICT, including for the management of protected areas. The issues of raising public awareness and forming effective cooperation with the scientific community working in the project territories were also discussed.
Following the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Acharya University Uzbekistan and the Aral Wetlands project.
For information: Acharya Group of Institutes Network was founded in 1990 and is located in Bangalore, a city informally considered the IT capital of India. It includes 10 universities offering training in more than a hundred courses, as well as 15 research centers. The group includes technological, architectural, pharmaceutical, medical, polytechnic, and other institutes. In total, up to 15,000 students from more than 70 countries study there every year. The Institute's branch in Uzbekistan was opened in 2023, and its main activity is in the field of information technology.
