During the event, German specialist Detlef Heinrichs conducted a special experimental practice on planting drought-tolerant plants. The expert noted that experiments on the cultivation of climate-resistant trees are being conducted at the Dalvarzin site.
"For 3 years, I have been conducting research on the soil layer and climatically suitable plant species. I studied the flora here. And now, based on my experiences, I have begun to plant trees and seeds that are resistant to the climate of this area, namely drought-resistant. I also want to plant plants like loch and rosehip. Based on the final results, we will decide which trees to plant and green the area", said the German scientist.
He also noted that it is planned to plant and breed a bluish poplar previously planted here but then disappeared on the Dalvarzin site since it is resistant to the climate of the area and corresponds to the local soil.
As part of the event, a total of 665 trees of 11 species (Norway maple, Sycamore maple, silver poplar, black poplar, Austrian oak, Boxelder maple, aspen, elm, and other species) and 6 kg of tree seeds of 3 species (Eastern black walnut, walnut) were planted on the territory of the forestry).
For reference: the total land area of the Dalvarzinsky forestry is 5,360 hectares, represented by forests and cultural forests, groves, arable land, garden lands, vineyards, and lakes. The farm grows common reed, licorice, and other plant species, as well as wild boars, hares, foxes, wolves, badgers, tugai cats, pheasants, wild pigeons, ducks, and coots.
