More than 2,000 people took part in the Nukus eco-marathon

The marathon was organized in order to attract the attention of the international community to the environmental problems of the region and promote a healthy lifestyle. 2,000 people took part in the race with distances of 5, 10 and 21 km, including participants from Great Britain and Scotland.
Following the results of the marathon, not only the winning athletes, but also their coaches were awarded for the first time.

For information: four major marathons have been held in the Aral Sea region this year. Among them are the Aral Sea Eco Race on April 18 in Muynak, the "Aral Sea Eco Marathon" on June 23, the "Barsa-Kelmes" race on September 14-15 and the Nukus Marathon on November 10. Such marathons are organized annually and play an important role in improving environmental culture.
