The list of prohibited wild animals has been approved

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution "On measures to improve the order of protection of wild animals", according to which a List of wild animals prohibited from keeping by individuals in semi-voluntary conditions, artificially created habitat, or in captivity was approved from January 1, 2025.
Also, according to the document, it is prohibited to keep these wild animals in state and mobile circuses (chapitoes) and use them for circus performances.
Wild animals included in the List may be kept in zoos and (or) nurseries (terrariums, aquariums, serpentariums, etc.) organized by legal entities in accordance with the established procedure on the basis of permits from the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change.
At the same time, wild and poisonous animals listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan are kept in special nurseries in accordance with the legislation.
