"The exhibition includes photographs from 1937 to the present day. Archival photographs of Tashkent Zoo were used for this purpose. In total, the exhibition presents more than 100 photographs, they depict more than 80 species of animals", said Hakim Samedov, head of the scientific and educational department of the Tashkent Zoo. "In general, there are more than 350 species of animals in the zoo, and their total number is more than 10,000", added he.
The exhibition attracted many visitors, among whom were both residents of the capital and guests of the city. People of different ages came to see the unique archival photographs that captured the moments of life of the zoo and its inhabitants. Many were attracted by the opportunity to see rare footage of the first animals that arrived at the zoo and those who became the symbol of this institution.
"The exhibition is decorated very beautifully and impresses with its colors and abundance of information. It is surprising that the zoo is home to so many species of animals, and it is constantly expanding and pleases residents and guests of the capital. I wish our zoo further development and expansion of the territory", says Lyudmila Gavrilitsa, a visitor to the exhibition.
