This initiative is being implemented by the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change, in cooperation with the Tashkent City Hokimiyat, as part of the implementation of Presidential Decree No. 46 of 25 March 2026, “On measures to implement the nationwide Clean Air project aimed at improving ambient air quality”.
The project предусматривает expanding the area covered by water bodies and green spaces across the city, reducing dust levels and developing environmental infrastructure.
In particular, artificial ponds will be established in the following mahallas: "Beshyog‘och" in Chilanzar district; "Khonobodtepa" and "Qumariq" in Sergeli district; "Bog‘iboston" in Yunusabad district; "Yuksalish" in Mirobod district; "Ipakchilik" in Shaykhantahur district; "Qo‘rg‘ontepa" in Uchtepa district; and "Zamondosh" in Almazar district.
The creation of artificial ponds will help increase the proportion of water bodies and green spaces in the urban environment, improve the local microclimate and provide residents with a more comfortable and environmentally favourable living environment.
