An offender will pay more than 16 million sums for cutting down a tree

During the raid on the territory of "Afrosiyob" mahalla in the Romitan district, the fact of cutting down 1 decorative elm tree by a resident of the area Zh.T. was established. As a result of the incident, damage to nature in the amount of 7 million, 500 thousand sums was caused.
According to this fact, an administrative protocol has been drawn up against the offender under Part 1 of Article 79 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The offender was fined in the amount of 25 BCV—9 million 375 thousand sums.
According to Part 1 of Article 79 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, illegal felling, uprooting, damage, destruction, or transplantation of trees and shrubs entails the imposition of a fine on citizens from 25 to 50 BCV and on officials from 50 to 75 BCV.
In total, the violator will have to pay compensation in the amount of 16 million 875 thousand sums.
