For information: Surkhan State Reserve was established on September 8, 1986, in the Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region. Representatives of more than 190 species of the animal world live here. 25 of them are listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan.
A markhor and bearded vulture caught in the camera traps of the reserve are listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan and the IUCN Red List.
