A Bactrian deer (Bukhara deer) is in the frame of a camera trap installed on the territory of the Kyzylkum State Reserve under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change.
For reference: Established in 1971, the Kyzylkum State Reserve is located on the territory of the Romitan district of Bukhara region and the Xazorasp district of Khorezm region.
A Bukhara deer is included in the Red Book of Uzbekistan and Appendix II of CITES. In Uzbekistan, Bukhara deer are common in the Zarafshan National Nature Park, the Lower Amudarya State Biosphere Reserve, the Kyzylkum Nature Reserve, and the Khorezm National Nature Park.
