"Ugam-Chatkal" State National Natural Park

Ugam-Chatkal State National Natural Park is located in the Bostonlik, Parkent, and Okhangaron mountainous regions of the Tashkent region, covering a total area of 574.6 thousand hectares.
Natural Conditions: The Western Tien Shan is one of the most unique and beautiful regions of Central Asia. It consists of the Talas Olatog, Kardjontog, Ugomskiy, Pskomskiy, and Chatkal mountain ranges. Between the Ugomskiy and Pskomskiy ranges to the north lies the Maydontol ridge, and between the Pskomskiy and Chatkal ranges lies the Koksu ridge. The Western Tien Shan region features complex terrain with deep mountain valleys.
Flora: The natural park's territory is home to 1,787 species of plants, including 66 species listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Among them are 8 species of tulips, Central Asian pear, Pskom onion, Abolin astragalus, eremurus, Bashkyzylsay geranium, Minkwitz's tezium, steppe peony, and other species. There are also rare plants.
Fauna: The animal world consists of 230 species, including 46 species listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the international red list, such as the snow leopard, Tien Shan brown bear, Menzbir's marmot, Turkestan lynx, little bustard, falcon, snow vulture, Chatkal ground jay, Turkestan lark, Kulzhin's bunting, and others.
Ecotourism Sites: The natural park is home to large recreation centers and interesting ecotourism sites such as Aktash, Karakiya, Kyzylsuv, Akhsarsoy, Paltov waterfalls, Obirahmat cave, Khodjakent petroglyph, lakes Urunchoch, Bodak, and Ikhnoch, Polatkhana plain, Amirsoy, Chinorkent, Golden Apple.
There are no hotels near the reserve, but there are many modern guesthouses within the territory of the natural park.
