Transboundary Air Pollution Discussed in Istanbul

A delegation of the National Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Climate Change participated in an international dialogue on clean air held in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The event was organised as part of the work programme of the UNECE Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution (CLRTAP), in cooperation with the CICAC group, which specialises in international cooperation on air pollution, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) and the Government of Türkiye.
The discussions focused on preventing air pollution, improving air quality, addressing transboundary air pollution, and strengthening international cooperation in this area.
Particular attention was given to the exchange of best practices, the implementation of effective mechanisms for protecting air quality and further strengthening cooperation among countries.
