For reference, in accordance with the Presidential Decree “On measures to implement the national Clean Air project aimed at improving air quality”, “Car-Free Day” and “Car-Free Week” campaigns are held nationwide on the 10th and 25th of each month.

To ensure the effective implementation of the campaign, the Special Commission has adopted a relevant protocol. Under the protocol, the use of official vehicles by civil servants during “Car-Free Day” and “Car-Free Week” is considered a violation of the rules of ethics and official conduct. Failure to comply with these requirements may serve as grounds for disciplinary action.

The initiative is aimed at reducing harmful emissions from motor vehicles, protecting public health, promoting healthy lifestyles, reducing the amount of pollutants released into the atmosphere and encouraging wider use of public and environmentally friendly transports.
