Illegal fishing uncovered in Mirishkor District

During the raid, a resident identified as Sh.B. was found illegally fishing in a collector canal in the Bo‘ston Mahalla, Mirishkor District. The individual was fishing without the required permits, using a rubber boat and prohibited monofilament fishing nets.
The inspection revealed that the individual had illegally caught five Turkestan barbel, a species listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan, along with 11 common carp, one common catfish and one silver crucian carp.
The violation resulted in damage to wildlife estimated at UZS 62.48 million.
As evidence, authorities confiscated one rubber boat without the required documentation, four monofilament fishing nets, two homemade oars and the illegally caught fish, in accordance with established procedures.
The collected materials are being submitted to law enforcement authorities for legal review and appropriate action.
