National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan

In particular, the memorandum signed with Peleng OJSC of the Republic of Belarus is aimed at strengthening cooperation in the testing, validation, technical assessment and practical application of modern hydrometeorological instruments and measuring equipment.

A memorandum of cooperation was also signed between the Hydrometeorological Research Institute and the H.M. Abdullaev Institute of Geology and Geophysics. The main objective of the memorandum is to conduct joint research and field expeditions to study snow cover, glaciers, lakes and rivers located in Uzbekistan, as well as in mountainous areas of other countries.

In addition, the Hydrometeorological Research Institute and the Agricultural Insurance Fund under the Ministry of Agriculture signed a memorandum of cooperation. The memorandum focuses on assessing losses incurred by agricultural producers as a result of meteorological and hydrometeorological risks, as well as providing scientific and methodological and information support for insurance mechanisms.

The signed memorandums will contribute to expanding international and national cooperation in the field of hydrometeorology, introducing modern technologies, and developing science-based solutions to address climate risks.
