National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The pavilion will showcase to the international community Uzbekistan’s efforts to address climate change, protect the environment and promote sustainable development, as well as a range of forward-looking projects. The National Pavilion will serve not only as a platform to demonstrate Uzbekistan’s achievements, but also as a space for attracting new international partners and mobilising financial resources. Particular attention will be given to key areas such as climate finance, water security, the restoration of degraded land, combating desertification, green energy, improving energy efficiency, waste management, air quality improvement and the development of sustainable cities.

COP31 will also provide Uzbekistan with an important opportunity to bring the shared environmental and climate challenges of Central Asia to the international agenda. Issues such as water resources, desertification, land degradation, ecosystem and biodiversity conservation require concerted action by the countries of the region. In this regard, the National Pavilion will serve not only as a platform to showcase Uzbekistan’s achievements, but also as a new platform for advancing regional cooperation.

COP31 in Antalya will provide Uzbekistan with an opportunity not only to actively contribute to the global climate process, but also to share its experience, initiatives and practical solutions with the international community. Through the National Pavilion, Uzbekistan will highlight not only the challenges associated with climate change, but also the measures being taken to address them and the country’s plans for the future. The overarching objective is to demonstrate that climate action should be viewed not only as an obligation, but also as an important opportunity for development, innovation, international cooperation and improving the quality of life of the population.
