National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The meeting focused particular attention on the current urban development and environmental situation in Tashkent. It was emphasised that the city’s future requires greater attention and careful consideration than ever before. It was also noted that new construction should contribute to the city’s development without creating additional imbalances or placing excessive pressure on existing infrastructure and urban systems.

The meeting also highlighted the need to support businesses that are committed to making Tashkent an even more comfortable, attractive, clean and safe city. Such an approach is fully in line with the policy of the New Uzbekistan. Providing comprehensive support to businesses pursuing initiatives of this kind was identified as one of the key tasks set by the President.
