For reference: six major projects will be implemented in 2026–2027. The total value of the projects being implemented in cooperation with Chinese companies amounts to $933 million. To date, $286.8 million in investment has been utilized, while domestically produced goods and services worth $76.6 million have been procured. Some 2,000 local workers have been engaged in construction activities.

The plants will be built in the Kashkadarya, Samarkand, Tashkent, Andijan, Fergana and Namangan regions. Once fully operational, they will process 3.6 million tons of municipal waste annually and generate 1.6 billion kWh of electricity.

In addition, five more projects are planned for implementation in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Jizzakh, Surkhandarya, Bukhara and Khorezm regions. With a total value of $625 million, these projects will enable the processing of 1.9 million tons of waste and the generation of 635 million kWh of electricity annually. As a result, 500 new jobs will be created, 158 million cubic meters of natural gas will be saved, and greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced by 316,000 tons.

The Head of State instructed officials to accelerate project implementation, increase localization and ensure the training of qualified specialists for the sector. In addition, a pool of 1,000 specialists will be established in cooperation with "Green University", Samarkand State University and Karshi State University.
