Over the years of independence, our country has made remarkable progress, strengthened its standing on the international stage and continues to move forward with confidence along the path of transformation and sustainable development.
Today, we face new and far-reaching challenges. As President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted in his address at the official ceremony dedicated to the 35th anniversary of state independence, amid global climate change, issues related to water and the environment are becoming increasingly important. In this regard, fostering a responsible and conscientious attitude towards natural resources and the environment is of particular importance.
In the coming years, our country will continue its extensive efforts to ensure the rational use of water resources, promote water-saving technologies, and advance the nationwide “Yashil Makon” (“Green Space”) movement. Particular attention will be devoted to expanding green spaces, preserving our natural heritage, and fostering environmental awareness and a culture of environmental responsibility across society.
We are convinced that caring for nature is not only the responsibility of the state, but also a shared value, a matter of civic responsibility and a duty of each and every one of us. Together, we can make Uzbekistan even greener, cleaner and more comfortable for present and future generations.
We wish all our compatriots good health, family well-being, peace, happiness and continued success! May independent Uzbekistan continue to prosper and may our Motherland always remain strong, peaceful and prosperous!
