President of Mongolia Visits the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan

President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh visited the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan on the sidelines of COP17, currently taking place in Ulaanbaatar. He was accompanied by Aziz Abdukhakimov, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Environmental Issues and Chairman of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change.
During the visit, the President of Mongolia was briefed on the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan in the field of environmental protection. The sides also exchanged views on environmental protection, climate change, and further development of cooperation between the two countries.
President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh highly commended the initiatives put forward by Uzbekistan and the country’s efforts to address environmental challenges. Furthermore, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in addressing environmental and climate challenges.
