A creative talk on ecology and the memory of landscapes to be held in Tashkent

Following the Amu Darya towards the disappearing Aral Sea and exploring the lost presence of the Turan tiger, the artist examines themes of water, species loss and ecological memory, reflecting on how landscapes preserve traces of human intervention.
The talk will bring together cinema, archival research, oral histories and perspectives on non-human forms of life to explore how environmental change transforms not only territories, but also our memory, imagination and ways of perceiving the world.
The event is organised by ARTepa Gallery at Green University of the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change and Art Station, in collaboration with the DAVRA research collective, with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) under the Central Asia Art and Culture Programme (CAACP) and the project “Art Station: Crossroads of Freedom of Expression, Artistic Creativity, Inclusive Dialogue and Community Development.”
