Measures taken against individuals caught illegally dumping waste

In particular, the cameras recorded several cases of waste being illegally dumped: by citizens S.R., Kh.N., V.M. and Sh.B. in the territory of the Shokhbekat mahalla of Karshi; by citizen Zh.E. in the Roguzar mahalla; and by citizen Kh.Kh. in the Shoykhuja mahalla of Karshi District.
Administrative violation reports were drawn up in connection with these offences in accordance with Parts 1 and 2 of Article 91¹ of the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility. Citizen S.R. was fined 4,120,000 sums, while each of the other individuals was fined 1,236,000 sums.
Online surveillance cameras have now been installed in virtually all regions of Uzbekistan. These systems enable the timely detection and prevention of not only illegal waste dumping, but also other types of environmental violations.
