National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The meeting brought together Sara Dia (France) and Fernando Saura (Spain), experts from Adelante; Marina Moro, the official representative of the international technical cooperation agency Expertise France in Uzbekistan; as well as relevant officials of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change.

For reference: In accordance with Presidential Resolution No. 436 of 2 December 2022, "On Measures for the Transition of the Republic of Uzbekistan to a "Green" Economy and Ensuring Green Growth until 2030," the country has established a framework for planning, implementing and continuously evaluating measures supporting the transition to a "green" economy. The Resolution also provides for aligning development strategies across all sectors with green growth objectives and conducting regular assessments of public policy in this area.

The meeting focused primarily on activities to be carried out as part of the periodic assessment of public policy on green growth. Participants discussed the assessment methodology and the involvement of relevant stakeholders in this process.

The participants also reviewed the list of information and supporting documents to be provided during the data collection and analysis stages.
