Across all regions of Uzbekistan, trees, shrubs and ornamental plants are being watered during the early morning, evening and nighttime hours, when water evaporation is at its lowest. At the same time, streets and public spaces are being cooled using specialized equipment.
In the Bukhara Region, maintenance of green areas has been intensified, including the irrigation of central streets, the operation of fountains and the watering of parks and other landscaped areas. In the Konimex District of the Navoi Region, streets are being sprayed with water to help lower air temperatures and reduce dust levels.
In the Kashkadarya Region, environmental service personnel are carrying out nighttime irrigation of trees and shrubs to prevent them from drying out and to support their healthy growth.
In the city of Khanabad and the city of Andijan, specialized vehicles are being used to cool streets and create more comfortable conditions for residents. These measures also contribute to improving air quality and reducing dust.
Surkhandarya Region is carrying out the irrigation of streets, trees, and green areas in accordance with approved schedules. Special attention is being given to preserving ornamental plants, improving the sanitary condition of public spaces, and protecting public health. In the city of Termez, streets are watered during the hottest hours of the day to mitigate the negative impact of high temperatures on residents. In addition, as part of ongoing greening efforts, modern irrigation systems have been installed in various districts of the region to ensure an uninterrupted water supply for lawns and ornamental flowers.
In the Navoi Region, regular irrigation of trees, flowerbeds and other green areas continues as part of efforts to protect public health, improve environmental conditions and maintain a comfortable urban environment during the summer heat.
In Namangan, additional watering of the city's main streets has been introduced to help mitigate the effects of extreme heat, while irrigation of trees, lawns and flowerbeds has also been intensified throughout the regional capital.
The National Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Climate Change calls on all citizens not to remain indifferent. During these exceptionally hot days, every tree that is watered and every green space that is preserved represents a meaningful contribution to the environmental well-being of our country.
