July is traditionally the hottest month in the country. The average maximum air temperature ranges between 35–37°C, while in the southern regions and desert areas it reaches 38–40°C. Almost every year, periods of extreme heat are recorded, when temperatures rise to 40–42°C, and in some areas even reach 43–45°C.
In recent years, Uzbekistan has seen a steady increase in the number of extremely hot days. All July months of the past decade have been warmer than the average climate norm, and nine of them ranked among the ten hottest Julys in the entire history of meteorological observations.
According to weather forecasts, by the end of the first ten days of July, daytime temperatures will rise to 37–40°C, and in the southern regions to 41–43°C. Until the end of the month, temperatures are expected to fluctuate between 33–38°C and 38–43°C, while in northern, desert, and southern areas, the air temperature may locally reach 45°C.
The average July temperature is forecast to be 1.5–3°C above the climatic norm. At the same time, the month will remain mostly dry: precipitation is expected to be below normal, with only short-term rains and thunderstorms possible in some foothill and mountainous areas.
Experts recommend that residents avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, maintain adequate hydration, and pay special attention to the health of children, elderly people, and those with chronic illnesses.
