National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister of Ecology explained why the symposium is dedicated to the theme "Sculpture, environment, and climate change".

"As you all know, environmental problems have become a global threat to humanity today. There is not a single region or country on our planet that does not face the problems of environmental pollution and climate change. In any field, environmental imbalance, air pollution, waste management, and the prevention of damage caused to nature by human factors are relevant. The purpose of the symposium is to draw public attention to the problems mentioned above", said the minister.

It was noted at the event that the symposium serves not only to develop cultural heritage but also to raise awareness of environmental issues. The emphasis on using natural materials and the interaction of art with the environment emphasizes the need for harmony between creativity and nature.

A video dedicated to the symposium was shown during the event. It was also noted that such events create the basis for the training of qualified personnel in the art field, allow for the mutual exchange of experience between domestic and foreign sculptors, and contribute to the further development of sculpture in our country.

For information: 20 foreign and 6 local sculptors participate in the sculpture symposium. In particular, works of art on the theme "Sculpture and the Environment" will be created by experienced and skillful sculptures from Iran, Turkey, Bulgaria, Spain, Russia, Estonia, Ukraine, China, UAE, Belarus, India, Azerbaijan, Georgia.

Also, within the framework of the event, master classes, practical classes, and master-apprentice demonstrations will be organized for young artists.
In addition, excursions to museums and cultural heritage sites of the city of Tashkent, Bukhara, and Tashkent regions will be organized for the participants of the symposium.

To form the cultural image of the capital, sculptures with a unique artistic solution and idea created during the symposium, which has a high level of aesthetic demand, will be placed in parks, recreation areas, entertainment, and tourist centers of Tashkent, as well as at the Central Asian University of Environmental and Climate Change Studies (Green University).

Following the results of the symposium, the participants will be awarded certificates and monetary rewards.
