Environmental Cooperation with China to Continue Advancing

Alisher Salomov, Adviser to the Chairman of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Bill Li, Director of the Regional Branch of China Jiangxi International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd. The meeting was also attended by Nodir Rikhsiev, Head of the Committee’s Department for the Development and Implementation of Investment and Infrastructure Projects.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to sustainable development, strengthening resilience to the impacts of climate change, the introduction of modern environmental technologies and the attraction of foreign direct investment for promising environmental projects.
The participants also exchanged views on opportunities to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of environmental protection, efficient waste management and the adoption of resource- and energy-efficient technologies.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop proposals for the implementation of prospective projects and to continue practical cooperation on a consistent basis.
