During the event, the results of the inventory of green spaces in the Shaykhantakhur district were presented. The tree digitization process has been completed, and all collected information has been uploaded to the digital platform green.tashkent.uz. According to the registry, a total of 227,013 trees have been recorded and digitized across the district, which covers an area of 27.07 square kilometers.
Participants were introduced to the functionality of the digital platform, which contains detailed information about each tree, including its species, height, crown diameter, trunk thickness, condition, and precise location. Representatives of all 51 mahallas in the district received a “Green Mahalla Passport” – a document reflecting the current state of green spaces within their respective territories.
Special attention during the discussions was devoted to further greening of the district, preservation of existing trees, and strengthening public oversight of the green fund. Participants emphasized the importance of actively involving residents in tree care activities and the improvement of public spaces.
It was noted that the capital’s electronic green fund database serves as an effective tool for public monitoring, contributing to the preservation and expansion of the city’s green areas. In addition, the digital registry enables more informed decision-making in urban planning and increases the responsibility of both authorities and citizens for environmental protection.
The implementation of the “Tree Registry” project represents an important step toward establishing a modern system for managing the capital’s green spaces and creating a comfortable urban environment for the residents of Tashkent.
