The process of preparation for the organization of the International Sculpture Symposium was discussed

At the meeting, the Minister of Ecology, the head of the Republican Organizational and Working Group for the preparation and holding of the symposium, A. Abdukhakimov, noted that the Ministry holds international open-air events, exhibitions, ploggings, and eco-marathons dedicated to the promotion of ecology and are an important factor for strengthening the ecological worldview of people. Also, millions of tourists rush to see art sculptures in cities such as Paris, Brussels, Milan, and St. Petersburg, which are the cradle of world culture.
The traditional International Sculpture Symposium is aimed at opening new objects to visit in our country, and the sculptural works created at the symposiums in Samarkand and Tashkent will serve to increase the cultural and tourist attractiveness of our country. Well-known foreign sculptors who participated in the past sculpture symposiums recognized that this type of art is developing rapidly in Uzbekistan, and expressed a desire to participate in the event this year.
The meeting discussed the tasks related to the organization of the III International Sculpture Symposium "Tashkent – 2024", which will be held from August 10 to September 10 this year. Chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, I. Valihodjaev, informed the participants of the meeting about the work done and upcoming events.
During the videoconference, the work to be carried out by several ministries and departments, as well as the khokimiyats of Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara regions, for holding the event at a high level, was reviewed.
The upcoming event will serve as a platform for young and professional sculptors. It will include organized trips to tourist attractions and natural sites in our country.
