The event was attended by approximately 10,000 foreign and local participants from 150 countries worldwide, including heads and representatives of international organizations, members of the diplomatic corps, as well as representatives of major international and domestic companies. Hosting this international exhibition in Samarkand has created unique opportunities for Uzbekistan to expand global cooperation in the fields of environmental sustainability, the "green" economy, and the climate agenda.
Within the framework of the exhibition, startup projects by eco-innovators from Uzbekistan and Central Asian countries were presented, and extensive opportunities were created to establish connections with international investors and financial institutions, as well as to secure further financing for these initiatives. In order to effectively utilize these opportunities, a number of strategic tasks were implemented to organize the event at a high level.
The exhibition featured 116 pavilions dedicated to environmental products and services. Major international organizations and companies participated in the event with their own pavilions, such as the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), VisionInvest (Saudi Arabia), SUEZ (France), Cevia Environment (PRC), KOMOTO (Japan), EPSOY (Finland), Siberian Wellness (Russia), Bell Energy (UAE), and Oizom Instruments (India). They were joined by large domestic enterprises, including the Navoi and Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combines, AKFA, Jizzax Akkumulyator Zavodi, JSC Uzkimyosanoat, and others.
Furthermore, an additional 37 booths were set up to showcase new, innovative startup projects by eco-innovators.
All regions of the country presented project packages reflecting the potential of their respective territories, aimed at climate change adaptation and ensuring environmental sustainability. These initiatives were brought to the attention of donors and investors.
During the exhibition, approximately 300 agreements on environmental projects and programs were signed with reputable international organizations and companies. These agreements are aimed at expanding practical cooperation in the areas of "green" energy, climate change adaptation, water resource management, waste recycling, and other environmental fields.
The international exhibition also hosted more than 50 side events, dialogue platforms, and thematic activities.
Overall, the comprehensive and strategic approach to organizing this event creates opportunities for Uzbekistan to attract major investments into the climate and environmental sectors, integrate advanced international practices, and elevate regional and international cooperation to a new level.
