For information: Earlier, the Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Syrdarya region established the fact that M.A., having previously colluded with his partners, illegally cut down and sold 21 elm trees growing on the edge of his field from December 2023 to January 2024. A criminal case was opened on this fact under Part 2 of Article 198 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

As a result of the felling of trees, nature has suffered damage in the amount of 1 billion. 459 million, 144 thousand sums.

It was proved in court that M.A., A.A., and K.Z. illegally cut down and sold 21 elm trees. The court decided to recover the damage caused by the participants in the crime and sentenced each to 2 years in prison.
