Erkin Mukhitdinov briefed the guests in detail on the systematic efforts undertaken in our country in recent years to expand green spaces, prevent desertification, and establish new forest tracts in order to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
According to the document, joint measures will be consistently implemented within the country to establish and protect new forest areas, as well as to ensure sustainable forest management.
Furthermore, in collaboration with Japanese experts, "green covers" will be created in the arid and degraded regions of the republic to prevent desertification and ensure clean atmospheric air. The parties also agreed to advance nursery practices and collaborate on adapting the seeds of rare tree species to local climatic conditions.
Alongside this, an exchange of scientific expertise in the field of forestry will be established. The joint organization of seminars, training sessions, educational courses, and forums is also planned.
