Organized with the support of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change, the Tashkent City Administration, and partner organizations, the event is the largest platform in Uzbekistan dedicated to promoting responsible animal care, advancing felinology and supporting animal welfare initiatives, including assistance for stray animals. For the first time in Uzbekistan, “Cat X” is being held under the auspices of the World Cat Federation (WCF).
This year’s exhibition features more than 100 cats representing various breeds from different countries around the world. The competition is being judged by internationally recognized experts — Tatyana Chernova (Latvia), Peter Tóth (Hungary) and Tripimir-Frane Sulić (Croatia).
The exhibition is expected to attract more than 50,000 residents and visitors to the capital and has generated particular interest among young audiences and families.
As part of the event, with the support of the NGO “Hayot,” cats from Tashkent animal shelters were also presented to visitors. More than 50 animals have already found new homes and been adopted by caring owners.
At the conclusion of the exhibition, the best representatives of participating cat breeds will receive special awards.
