The inspection revealed a number of violations of environmental legislation. In particular, the enterprise was found to have illegally disposed of construction and other types of waste on the plant’s territory, causing harm to the environment. It was also established that dust generated from the waste disposal negatively affected air quality, while the flaring of harmful gases led to excessive emissions of sulfur, carbon and nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere beyond permitted limits.
In addition, inspectors found that wastewater generated during the gas purification process had been discharged into open areas together with petroleum residues.
Following the inspection, the enterprise was ordered to pay additional environmental compensation amounting to 10.834 billion sums. Seven mandatory compliance directives were also issued and the case materials have been referred to the court.
