For information: earlier, in Karakalpakstan, the activities of a permanent Republican Headquarters for organizing environmental protection work and cleaning territories from household and construction waste had been established. The Headquarters was tasked with conducting daily рейд activities on waste-related issues in the regions, as well as carrying out awareness-raising activities among the population to encourage citizens to report cases of waste dumping in unauthorized places to the relevant authorities. In this regard, control measures have been further strengthened.

Since the launch of the inspections conducted throughout the districts of Karakalpakstan, 207 cases of administrative violations have been identified. Administrative protocols were drawn up for all detected cases, and fines totaling 206 million sums were imposed. In addition, the recovery of  5.1 million sums has been ensured.

To eliminate the identified violations, 723 units of specialized equipment and 4,035 personnel were involved. As a result, 22 illegal dumping sites were cleared and 1,807 tons of various types of waste were transported to designated landfills.

At the same time, extensive public awareness campaigns are being carried out among the population to promote cleanliness and prevent the disposal of waste in unauthorized areas.

Efforts in this direction remain under постоянный control and continue on a systematic basis.
