Today, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change conducts night and day raids in mountainous, foothill, and desert areas where the ferula plant is widespread.
By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 16, 2023, "On additional measures to protect and ensure the rational use of pastures", a moratorium on the use of the Tajik ferula, listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan, has been introduced. The goal is to protect, reproduce, and restore the natural population of this plant.
Attention!
- Strict liability is established by law concerning persons who illegally use objects of the flora. In particular, according to Article 79 of Note 1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, for violation of the order and conditions of collection, harvesting, and use of flora objects, citizens will be fined from 3 to 5 BСV (1 020 000–1 700 000 sum), and officials will be fined from 5 to 10 BRV (1,700,000–3,400,000 sums).
