The project is being implemented in partnership with the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change, the Forestry Agency, and the Youth Affairs Agency. The park is being developed on an approximately 8-hectare site that was previously unused. More than 3,000 trees and plants are being planted, all carefully selected to suit the region’s climate and environmental conditions.
The plantings include decorative catalpa, white mulberry, common elm, white acacia, field maple, ash, eastern thuja and other ornamental tree species. In addition, over 2,000 ornamental shrubs are planned for the next stage of landscaping, highlighting the scale of the greening effort.
This initiative is expected to improve local environmental conditions, enhance air quality and create a more comfortable microclimate in the city. It will also provide a modern, accessible space for recreation, especially for young people.
The “Youth Eco Park” project is designed to strengthen Khiva’s environmental sustainability, expand green areas and enhance the city’s visual appeal.
Once completed, the park will become a well-designed green space built to environmental standards, contributing to a healthier and more livable urban environment. Beyond its aesthetic value, it will offer residents a welcoming place to relax, connect and spend time outdoors.
