The contest is open to children from state preschool institutions, as well as students of general education schools and specialized schools of fine arts and design. Participants will compete across four age groups: 5–7, 8–10, 11–13, and 14–16.
The initiative aims to nurture creativity among children and young people, develop their artistic sense and appreciation of beauty, and deepen their connection with nature. It also seeks to promote environmental awareness, encourage a respectful attitude toward the environment and support talented young artists.
The national stage for preschool participants will take place on April 21, while students from specialized art and design schools will compete on May 7. Territorial stages for general education school students will run through May 1.
Winning artworks will be featured in an exhibition held as part of the 8th Assembly of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the international exhibition Eco Expo Central Asia 2026.
