The Bukhara Interdistrict Economic Court has reviewed a case concerning the illegal felling of trees and issued its judgment.

For reference: earlier, the Bukhara Regional Department of Ecology and Climate Change established that, during earthworks along the Jondor Canal in Alat district, a company unlawfully cut down 154 trees of a valuable species—Turanga.
The violation resulted in environmental damage estimated at 1.302 billion sums, and the case was subsequently referred to the court.
Under the court’s ruling, the full amount of the damage—1.302 billion sums—is to be recovered from the defendant, the legal entity.
Inspection and enforcement activities remain ongoing.
