As part of the initiative, a series of activities involving children were held in several preschool institutions in the Yangi-Namangan district. In particular, meetings were conducted with pupils of kindergartens No. 61, 73 and 17.
During the events, children were introduced to the principles of caring for nature, environmental stewardship, the responsible use of natural resources, and the development of ecological awareness. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of protecting birds, with engaging discussions held on the topic. In addition, the children took part in feeding birds themselves, demonstrating care and attentiveness to nature in practice.
Interactive quizzes were also organized to reinforce the children’s understanding of environmental topics. At the conclusion of the events, the most active participants were awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts.
For reference: the “Young Ecologists” project is planned to be gradually expanded to other preschool institutions across the region. Its objective is to foster environmental awareness among the younger generation, cultivate a sense of responsibility and respect for nature, and develop practical skills in environmental protection.
Such initiatives play an important role in nurturing an environmentally conscious and caring generation.
