Samarkand to Host the Largest Green Technology Exhibition in the Region – Eco Expo Central Asia 2026

The exhibition will become one of the largest platforms in Central Asia, bringing together leading global companies, innovative startups, government institutions, and international organizations working in the fields of ecology and sustainable development. Representatives from more than 180 countries are expected to take part, creating unique opportunities for the exchange of experience, the presentation of advanced solutions and the establishment of new partnerships.
The main objective of the event is to promote green technologies, stimulate investment in environmental projects, and strengthen international cooperation in the field of environmental protection and the fight against climate change.
The exhibition will cover a wide range of areas, from green energy, sustainable agriculture and water-saving technologies to ecotourism, waste recycling, smart cities and the application of artificial intelligence in ecology. The programme will also feature thematic zones, demonstration sites, startup spaces and interactive installations.
Special attention will be given to practical engagement among participants. The programme includes business sessions, expert discussions, B2B, B2G and B2C negotiations, as well as the signing of agreements and the presentation of investment projects.
Dedicated exhibition areas will also be allocated to the regions of Uzbekistan, where current and prospective initiatives aimed at improving the environmental situation and supporting the sustainable development of territories will be presented.
Leading international organizations will also take part in the exhibition, including the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), the Climate Security Mechanism (CSM) and the Ramsar Convention. Their participation will contribute to the exchange of experience and the promotion of advanced solutions in sustainable development, climate change adaptation, and the rational management of natural resources.
Holding the exhibition in parallel with the GEF Assembly will help strengthen synergies between the global agenda and regional initiatives, while also drawing additional international attention to the environmental reforms and projects being implemented in Uzbekistan.
