Environmental Damage Exceeding 60 Million Sums Recorded in Samarkand Region

During the рейд, it was established that in the territory of the “Elbek” mahalla of the Pastdargom district, the offenders D.S. and J.E., using an excavator under their control, were illegally extracting a black sand-gravel mixture from the bed of a mudflow canal and loading it onto trucks.
As a result of the violation, environmental damage amounting to 63 million sums was caused. In addition, in accordance with Part 1 of Article 70¹ of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, each of the offenders was fined 30 base calculation units (12 million 360 thousand sums each). The specialized equipment has been placed in an impound lot for temporary storage.
The relevant materials are currently being forwarded to law enforcement authorities for further legal action against the offenders.
