During an inspection of the area above a covered collector, it was established that 108 trees had been illegally transplanted. An assessment of their condition revealed that 107 of them—specifically 12 juniper trees (archa) and 95 Eldar pines—had dried out.
It should be noted that a request for the transplantation of these trees had previously been submitted to the Main Department of Ecology of Tashkent city and was officially denied. Despite this, the trees were transplanted unlawfully.
As a result of the violation, in accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 464 dated 22 November 2022, “On further improvement of the procedure for planting, maintaining and using trees and shrubs not included in the state forest fund,” damage to nature amounted to 881 million 268 thousand sums.
The materials collected in connection with this case are currently being prepared for submission to law enforcement authorities.
