Environmental Knowledge of Vocational Students Assessed

The competition was organized by the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change, the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education. The contest consisted of four stages.
In the first stage, “This Is Our Territory,” participants presented the environmental condition of their regions, the level of environmental culture, picnic culture, ongoing efforts to improve the environmental situation, as well as young people’s attitudes toward environmental issues. In the second stage, “Intellectual Round,” team members answered 10 questions on environmental, social, and legal-political topics within three minutes.
In the third stage, “We Are All Responsible for the Environment!”, participants presented, through staged performances, projects aimed at protecting the environment, promoting environmental culture among youth, developing plogging, addressing climate change, tree planting and water-related issues. The fourth stage, “Best Environmental Project,” was dedicated to proposals and initiatives for the development of the environmental sector at the national level, increasing the number of young environmental specialists, attracting investment and expanding environmental capacity.
According to the results of the competition, first place was awarded to the "Ecoline" team from Navoi region, second place to the "Qoratol" team from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and third place to the "Zamin" team from Tashkent region. The winners were awarded.
For reference, the review competition “Do You Know Environmental Legislation?” has been held annually from January to March since 2025. Its purpose is to raise environmental and legal awareness and culture among young people, ensure the rule of law and strengthen legality, foster respect for the Constitution and other regulatory legal acts, develop respect for the national legal system, build legal immunity to negative factors affecting legal education and cultivate intolerance toward offenses.
