In the Surkhan State Nature Reserve in the Surkhandarya region, salt has been distributed in order to maintain the natural forage balance for herbivorous animals. More than 18 tons of salt have been placed across different parts of the reserve. The reserve comprises seven divisions and ten patrol routes, and the work is carried out in phases throughout its territory.
In the Zaamin State Nature Reserve in the Jizzakh region, staff have also implemented measures aimed at improving conditions for wildlife. Due to heavy snowfall, which has made it difficult for animals to access natural food sources, supplementary feed has been delivered to designated feeding sites.
Similar efforts have been undertaken in the “Saigachy” Complex (Landscape) Sanctuary in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Lower Amu Darya State Biosphere Reserve, and the Kyzylkum State Nature Reserve in the Bukhara and Khorezm regions. Feeding sites have been established in these areas, where fodder and grain have been provided. In particular, additional feeding has been arranged for Bukhara deer in the Lower Amu Darya Reserve.
For reference: Biotechnical measures are carried out across all protected natural areas of the country. These efforts are aimed at conserving wildlife, supporting biodiversity and maintaining ecological balance.
