During the raid, it turned out that a resident of the Urokboshi mahalla in the Kuva district was trying to sell a Transcaspian Desert Monitor listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan. State inspectors seized the lizard from the intruder.

For information: The Transcaspian Desert Monitor lives in deserts and semi-deserts from the Southern Aral Sea region to the Ferghana Valley. Outside Uzbekistan: Central Asia and Southern Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Iran, North Africa, India and Pakistan. It lives mainly on fixed and semi-fixed sands, clay, and stony-gravelly soils, and enters salt marshes.  Hunting for him is prohibited.

The gray monitor lizard was released into the wild on the deserted territory of a forestry enterprise in the Kushtepa district.

According to this fact, a protocol has been drawn up against the offender by Part 1 of Article 92 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
