Environmental damage of over 37 million sums recorded in Samarkand

During the operation, it was established that three individuals, identified as B.P., S.U., and K.E., had been illegally extracting sand and gravel from the riverbed using an excavator and heavy vehicles without the required permits. As a result, environmental damage amounting to over 37.2 million sums was recorded.
The equipment used in the illegal activity has been impounded and placed in temporary storage. Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the offenders in accordance with established procedures and a fine of 28.84 million sums has been imposed. The case materials are being forwarded to law enforcement authorities for further legal action.
For reference, a similar case of illegal sand and gravel extraction was previously identified in the "Dargom" Canal, which flows through Taylak District.
